Arbaeen is the 40th day after the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (pbuh) and his companions, who sacrificed their lives for Islam. Commemorating a martyr is equivalent to keeping his name, memory and path alive, and making a pilgrimage is one of the ways for remembering and reviving those memories.
